Initiation of the MAAXIMUS Project (area FP7-AAT-2007-RTD-1)

coordinated by Airbus; Technology Partners is one of the project participants.

The MAAXIMUS (More Affordable Aircraft structure through eXtended, Integrated, and Mature nUmerical Sizing) Project, carried out within the EU’s 7th Framework, in area Aeronautics and Air Transport, FP7-AAT-2007-RTD-1. It will be performed over a period of 5 years, with conclusion scheduled to conclude in 2013. The project, coordinated by AIRBUS FRANCE SAS, is a joint undertaking of 58 partners (airplane manufacturers, material science experts, and computer mechanics, as well as testing centres from the industrial sector and HEIs) from 18 countries. Technology Partners is the project’s only Polish participant. The project budget exceeds EUR 67 million.

The objective of the project is to improve the competitiveness and ensure the continued development of the European aircraft industry by developing new design, construction, production and utilisation solutions more effective than those used presently. These results will reduce airplane construction costs, as well as time-to-market.

Technology Partners is performing the following tasks:

  • Sensitivity analysis for non-linear coating statics
  • Constitutive model and microstructure parameter sensitivity analysis
